Setting Up IPTV on Several TVs in One House

By the IPTV Prime US team · Updated October 14, 2026

Modern white house in the sunshine

Living room, bedroom, kids' room, basement… Here's how to plan IPTV across a whole house so every TV works smoothly and the family finds it easy.

1. Count simultaneous viewers

How many TVs are on at the same time in the evening? That's how many connections you need. Ask us about multi-connection options—see multi-screen IPTV.

2. Choose a device per TV

RoomSuggested device
Living room (main TV)Fire TV Cube, Google TV Streamer, Nvidia Shield or Apple TV 4K—with Ethernet
BedroomFire TV Stick 4K or Google TV stick
Kids' roomStick with parental controls and a kids' favorites list
Garage / gymBasic stick, HD is enough

See best IPTV boxes.

3. Use the same app everywhere

One player on every TV means everyone knows how it works. TiviMate on Fire TV/Google TV is a popular choice. See TiviMate setup.

4. Plan the network

  • Ethernet to the main TV.
  • Mesh Wi-Fi to cover far rooms—see Wi-Fi vs Ethernet.
  • Total speed: add ~25 Mbps per 4K TV and ~15 per HD TV. See speed guide.

5. Set up favorites per room

Each TV can have its own favorites: sports in the living room, cartoons in the kids' room, news in the kitchen. See favorites guide.

6. Write a simple "how to" card

Tape a small card near each TV: "Home → TiviMate → Favorites". It saves a lot of questions.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a separate subscription for each TV?

Not necessarily—you need enough connections for the TVs watching at the same time. Ask us for options.

Can different TVs use different apps?

Yes, any app with Xtream or M3U support works.

How do I stop the kids' TV from showing adult content?

Lock and hide categories on that device. See IPTV for families.
