What Is a Stalker / MAC Portal in IPTV?

By the IPTV Prime US team · Updated October 14, 2026

Glowing circuit board pattern representing security

Besides Xtream logins and M3U links, there's a third way to connect to IPTV: a portal linked to a device's MAC address. It's often called a "Stalker portal" (after the middleware it's based on) or "MAC portal".

How it works

  1. Every network device has a unique MAC address (e.g., 00:1A:79:XX:XX:XX on MAG boxes).
  2. You give that MAC address to your provider.
  3. The provider activates your subscription for that MAC.
  4. You enter the portal URL in your device; the server recognizes the MAC and loads your channels.

No username or password is typed—the device itself is the "key".

Tips

  • Send your MAC address exactly—one wrong character and it won't connect.
  • When you change devices, send us the new MAC.
  • Never post your MAC and portal URL publicly.

Frequently asked questions

Where's my device's MAC address?

On MAG: on the box sticker and in system info. On apps: usually shown on the portal setup screen.

Which is better, portal or Xtream?

Xtream is more flexible across devices; portals give a cable-box experience on dedicated hardware.
