LG Smart TVs run webOS, LG's own system. Like Samsung, LG doesn't run Android apps, so you'll use an IPTV player from the LG Content Store (called "Apps" on newer models). Setup takes about ten minutes.
What you need
- An LG Smart TV connected to the internet
- Your IPTV Prime US login: an M3U link or Xtream details (server, username, password)
- A phone or computer to upload your playlist
Step 1: Install a player from the LG store
- Press the Home button and open Apps / LG Content Store.
- Search for IPTV. Check reviews and the developer before you install.
- Open the app. Most players show a MAC address or device key on the first screen.
Step 2: Upload your playlist
- On your phone or laptop, open the player's official website (shown in the app).
- Enter the MAC address / device key from your TV.
- Paste your M3U link, or choose Xtream and enter server, username and password.
- Save, then restart the app on the TV.
Some LG players include a free trial period and then ask for a small activation fee paid to the app developer. That's normal for webOS players and separate from your subscription.
Step 3: Check the TV guide

- Picture mode: "Standard" or "Filmmaker" for movies; "Sports" if you like brighter, punchier games.
- TruMotion: lower or turn off if motion looks unnatural.
- Quick Start+: turn on so apps open faster after standby.

When a streaming stick is better
