Modern Sony Bravia TVs run Google TV (older ones run Android TV). That makes them excellent for IPTV: you get the full Google Play Store and Sony's excellent picture processing.

Step 1: Install a player

  1. Press Home → Apps → search Google Play.
  2. Install TiviMate (best TV-guide experience) or IPTV Smarters.

Step 2: Log in

Choose Xtream Codes login and enter the server, username and password from our WhatsApp message. Use the Google TV app on your phone as a keyboard to save time.

Step 3: Sony picture settings

Sony's upscaling helps HD channels look good on 4K panels.

Step 4: Network

Use the Ethernet port on the back for the most stable live TV. See Wi-Fi vs Ethernet.

Tips

  • Clear the player's cache occasionally: Settings → Apps → your player → Clear cache.
  • Enable HDMI-CEC (Bravia Sync) if you use a soundbar, so one remote controls volume.
  • Keep the TV updated via Settings → System → About → System software update.
